Moody Center honored with 2018 American Architecture Award

Moody Center for the ArtsRice’s Moody Center for the Arts has received a 2018 American Architecture Award. Over 100 buildings received the award, given by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Together with The European Centre and Metropolitan Arts Press, the Chicago Athenaeum organized the American Architecture Awards in 1994 as a way to honor the best new buildings designed and constructed by American architects throughout the world. Today, they are the nation’s highest public awards given by a noncommercial, nontrade affiliated public arts, culture and educational institution. The $30 million, 50,000-square-foot Moody Center was designed by renowned Los Angeles-based architect Michael Maltzan. (Photo by Jeff Fitlow)
