HOUSTON — (Aug. 7, 2018) — Rice University’s matriculating Class of 2018 will be greeted with a Texas-sized welcome Sunday as the newest Owls move to campus and take part in O-Week, the weeklong freshmen orientation program to acquaint incoming students with their new campus, residential colleges and classmates. Upperclassmen will greet newcomers by chanting their names upon arrival.

Who: Rice matriculating Class of 2018 and upperclassmen.

What: O-Week move-in day.

When: 7-11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12.

Where: Rice University campus, 6100 Main St.

Rice O-Week participants have been asked to include the hashtag #RiceOWeek18 on their social media posts, a compilation of will be available by clicking on #RiceOWeek18 at the top of rice.edu. For a full schedule of O-Week events, visit oweek.rice.edu.
