Nobel laureate to deliver 2018 RISE Lecture

Nobel laureate Edward Prescott will present the 2018 Rice Initiative for the Study of Economics (RISE) Lecture Nov. 1.

A professor of economics at Arizona State University and chair in economics in the W.P. Carey School of Business, Prescott will deliver a talk titled “Money in the Production Function: Some of the Policy Implications” at 5:30 p.m. at Rice’s BioScience Research Collaborative. A reception will follow.

Prescott and Finn Kydland were jointly awarded the 2004 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences “for their contributions to dynamic macroeconomics: the time consistency of economic policy and the driving forces behind business cycles.”
