The Rice United Way Campaign is more than 95 percent of the way to its $250,000 goal, with pledges and contributions at $238,861.
The School of Humanities leads the campus with the most funds raised, $19,978. The Office of Public Affairs and the Office of the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies both have 100 percent participation. Facilities Engineering and Planning has the largest number of campaign donors, 112.
All of the matching-gift funds offered by Rice Board of Trustees Chairman Bobby Tudor ’82 and his wife, Phoebe, have been claimed, which represents $25,000 in new and increased contributions over last year.
Pledges may be made by automatic payroll deduction, spread over all of 2019’s paychecks, via Esther through Jan. 21. To give by check or credit card, or to designate any pledge — including a payroll pledge — to benefit a specific United Way agency, geographic area or community program or priority, Rice donors may use the pledge form available on the Rice United Way Campaign website, unitedway.rice.edu, where more information on the campaign is available.
