Scientia offers food for thought

Scientia kicked off its 2019 Spring Lecture Series with a talk by Richard Knight, the executive chef at Atlas Diner in downtown Houston’s Bravery Chef Hall. The 2018-19 Scientia series is devoted to the theme of creativity, with upcoming lectures focusing on such topics as employee creativity in the workplace, the origins of creativity and how creativity can be sparked by collaboration with unlikely partners – including robots, in the case of the April 9 lecture by Rice’s own Marcia O’Malley, professor of mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering and computer science.
