Rice clubs honored at Student Center awards reception

The Program of the Year award was given to Rice VegFest 2.0 and the Rice Vegan Society.

The Rice Student Center hosted its first Club Awards Reception April 17 in Farnsworth Pavilion in the Ley Student Center. For its pilot year, the Club Awards received nearly 100 nominations in eight categories, including Above & Beyond awards for both undergraduate and graduate student leaders.

Inaugural winners included the Rice African Student Association for Undergraduate Student Organization of the Year and the Rice Chinese Students and Scholars Association for Graduate Student Organization of the Year.
