Love is love

Face painting and a feast of Chinese food — as well as rainbow-hued cookies sporting messages such as “Love is love” — greeted guests at the June 14 Pride Picnic in the Graduate Commons outside Valhalla. Hosted by the Rice University Queer Graduate Student Association, the evening celebrated LGBT Pride Month and also stoked enthusiasm for this year’s Houston Pride Parade on June 22, in which Rice will once again participate.
