Fulbright-García Robles scholars meet up in Mexico

Current and incoming Rice graduate students Rosa Selenia Guerra Reséndez, Elsa Yolanda Acosta de Anda, Itzel Coral Olivas Castillo and Gustavo Guajardo joined Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Seiichi Matsuda in Mexico City June 27-29 during an orientation session for Comexus, the Fulbright commission in Mexico.

The Fulbright-García Robles scholars had the opportunity to meet the new cohort of incoming scholars alongside Matsuda, but that’s not all: The group also explored the nearby site of Teotihuacan, where they saw how the traditional drink pulque was prepared, met two Xoloitzcuintli and learned about the history of the Mesoamerican city.
