Rice’s Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies and its home, the state-of-the-art Anderson-Clarke Center, was a magnet for the Houston community at the school’s annual Fall Preview Sept. 4.
The free event showcased the Glasscock School’s community learning and engagement opportunities and featured a range of brief preview lectures to highlight upcoming personal development courses. Visitors had an opportunity to learn about the school’s professional development and graduate degree offerings.
Presenters included Stephen Klineberg (pictured), founding director of Rice’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research and a professor emeritus of sociology at the university, who spoke on “Universal City: Immigration and the Future of Houston and the U.S.”
