The world on your plate

Students from countries across the world made new friends and connections Sept. 24 at the annual meet-and-greet potluck dinner for the International Friends at Rice (IFR) program. The Office of International Students and Scholars matched 77 graduate international students with members of the Rice community this year.

IFR helps ease new international students into their first six months at Rice by offering them the chance to share cross-cultural experiences with a local friend or family, who invite the students out to enjoy meals and other Houston experiences. (Photo by Jeff Fitlow)
