Diversity and business is topic at Rice’s Jones School conference Oct. 4
HOUSTON — (Oct. 1, 2019) – Bringing together local business and thought leaders, Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business will host a conference on “Sparking Success: The Intersection of Diversity and Business” at the school’s McNair Hall Oct. 4. The event will provide a forum for dialogue about diversity and inclusion in the business world and will connect people to issues important in today’s workforce.
The conference is open to the public and registration is $50. Keynote and panel themes will include A Corporate Insider View: Talent Acquisition; LGBTQ Inclusion Matters; Millennial and Gen Z Generations and the Impact on Business; Overcoming Imposter Syndrome; and Immigrant Influence on Economic Growth in Texas.

Who: Speakers and panelists include Tony Wyllie, regional president and managing director for the Special Olympics North America; Theresa Torres, senior director of global membership services at Diversity Best Practices; Ken Bouyer, Americas director of inclusiveness recruiting at EY; John Redmond, talent acquisition senior adviser at Dell Technologies; Seema Santhakumar, global leader of corporate strategy and marketing at Baker Hughes; Ijeoma Nwaogu, associate director of Rice’s Multicultural Center; Tammi Wallace, founder and principal consultant at EnFocus Group; and Chelsea Kramer, state organizer at New American Economy.
Peter Rodriguez, dean of Rice Business, will give welcoming remarks.
