A two-day, virtual event organized by Ed Emmett, fellow in energy and transportation policy at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, will examine the need for a resilient global supply chain.
The first-ever Houston Global Freight Summit, co-hosted by the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies and Port Houston, will address the latest developments and vulnerabilities in the international freight system. The May 18-19 webinar will feature more than a dozen speakers, including key executives of ports, shippers, ocean carriers, railroads, trucking firms and fuel suppliers. Experts in transportation policy and the environment will also present their research, giving special attention to improving infrastructure and moving freight in a lower carbon world.
