Fans of the Owls and Cougars took in the latest edition of the Bayou Bucket football game between Rice and the University of Houston (UH) Sep. 11 at Rice Stadium. During halftime, the rivalry was momentarily set aside as the Rice Marching Owl Band took the field with the UH Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band.
Together, the two bands played a moving tribute commemorating the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. (First two photos by Brandon Martin; second two by Tommy LaVergne.)
