David Medina, director of multicultural community relations for the Office of Public Affairs, has been selected as one of 10 recipients of the 2017 Comcast Hispanic Hero Award. Comcast Corp., a global broadcasting and cable television company, gives these awards to recognize outstanding individuals committed to making a difference in the community through volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy or civic engagement. The awards will be presented Sept. 15 at a gala at the Houstonian Hotel in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
