Shepherd School performers receive Grammy nomination

Performers from Rice’s Shepherd School of Music were part of the ensemble that last week received a 2018 Grammy Award nomination.

The Houston Symphony earned a nomination Best Opera Recording of Alban Berg’s “Wozzeck.” The nomination notes that the chorus included students and alumni of the Shepherd School..

The recording already earned the ECHO Klassik Award, considered the equivalent of a European Grammy.
