Students from Houston ISD’s Cesar E. Chavez High School participated in a DREAM Day bridge-building contest outside Rice Memorial Center April 16. The contest was sponsored by DREAM, an organization of Rice students from engineering and other STEM fields who mentor teams of Houston high school students. The award-winning program was founded by Rice engineering students in 2007 to help increase the number of underrepresented minority students earning STEM degrees.
