Employee assistance rep to be on campus
Rice employees can learn and ask questions about the university’s employee assistance program, LifeWorks, when a representative is on campus Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby of Rice Memorial Center.
LifeWorks is a free, confidential resource that employees can turn to for information, advice and support on a variety of issues, including parenting and child care, finances, emotional well-being and work.
LifeWorks is available to all Rice employees, regardless of whether they participate in a Rice medical plan, and can be accessed

Get healthy through Wellness Challenge
Rice and Methodist Wellness Services are challenging Rice employees to a healthier 2005 through the Rice Wellness Challenge.
The program gives faculty and staff a chance to learn and develop healthy habits while earning points toward a monetary award.
A health-risk assessment — free to the first 250 employees who enroll in the program — and wellness expo will be held Jan. 25 and 26 in Miner Lounge, Rice Memorial Center, from 7 to 11 a.m.
