Wild Rice: Henny Halliburton

What are your kids’ names?
Hanszen College sophomore Daniela and
Cristina, a junior at Bellaire High School

Do you have any pets?
Luke, a beautiful golden retriever

Where were you born?
Santiago, Chile

What is your favorite movie and why?
An old favorite is “Silence of the Lambs,” a good
psychological thriller

If you could be anything you want, what would it be?
A National Geographic world correspondent and photographer

Chocolate or vanilla?
Chocolate, but pile on the pecans, almonds and walnuts

What is something about you that people would be surprised to know?
I used to be very shy, quiet and not talkative.

If you could pass a universal law for campus, what would it be?
Everyone must hug someone else once a day. It doesn’t take much and it can make a big difference in how you feel and how you make others feel.

What is your most treasured possession?
My Chilean passport because it grounds me

Which word or phrase do you overuse?
“Sure, no problem.” It gets me in trouble sometimes.

What is your favorite place on campus?
I like Ray’s Courtyard at lunchtime because of the many trees and the wonderful shade on sunny days.

What is your favorite time of day?
Early morning. There’s nothing like the peace, quiet and stillness of this time of day.
