A usually vacant field next to Project Row Houses was filled with works of art April 20 as Rice Visual and Dramatic Arts students showed their work in a one-day exhibition that drew a lively crowd. Students in assistant professor Lisa Lapinski’s sculpture class collaborated with Project Row Houses artists-in-residence throughout the semester in the form of lectures, charrettes and workshops. The well-attended weekend exhibition was the culmination of this class, with even the bases of the sculptures themselves made by Lapinski’s students. (Photo by Katharine Shilcutt)
