Baker Institute Forum to Debate U.S. Interrogation Policy
John Yoo, who was a key architect of the Bush administration’s legal strategy following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, will participate in a panel discussion about U.S. interrogation policy at Rice University Friday.
Titled “Interrogation and Detention in Wartime: Legal and Military Perspectives,” the program will feature Yoo, former U.S. deputy assistant attorney general during President George W. Bush’s first term and author of “War by Other Means”; Donald Goldstein, author and international security expert; and Jordan Paust, international and military law scholar and a professor at the University of Houston Law School.
The discussion, hosted by the Baker Institute Student Forum, will be held at 4 p.m. in Baker Hall.
