The Rice volleyball team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will face the University of Oklahoma in the first round Dec. 5 in College Station.
The winner of the 4:30 p.m. match between the No. 2 seed Owls (26-3) and third-seeded Sooners (19-8) will face either top seed Texas A&M University (21-7) or No. 4 St. John’s University (22-11) the next day in the second round.
Rice, which is making its second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and its fifth overall, is the first Conference USA team to receive an at-large bid since 2009.
