Applied NanoFluorescence, a technology company founded by Bruce Weisman, professor of chemistry, is the winner of the 2007 Paul Frison Accelerator Award. The award is given to the newest company on the Houston Business Journal’s Fast Tech 50 list.
Created in 2004 to manufacture and sell the NanoSpectralyzer, an optical instrument used in nanotechnology research, Applied NanoFluorescence experienced more than 75 percent growth in revenue between 2005 and 2006.
“I am most proud of the capabilities of the instruments that we build, and of the fact that they are finding good use in leading laboratories around the world,” said Weisman on the success of his company.
