CRC’s first brick laid

| The deans of Natural Sciences and Engineering laid the first brick for the Collaborative Research Center Thursday. Pictured from left are Sallie Keller-McNulty, dean of the George R. Brown School of Engineering, and Kathleen Matthews, dean of the Wiess School of Natural Sciences. Located at the corner of University Boulevard and Main Street, the CRC will house and foster joint research between Rice’s experts in engineering, computer science, chemistry and the physical, biological and mathematical sciences and Texas Medical Center medical researchers and physicians. The 10-story building is scheduled to be completed in April 2009. |
