Privacy, education records topic of next ‘Legal Brown Bag’
Rice’s General Counsel’s Office is continuing its series of occasional “Legal Brown Bags,” noontime presentations to which members of the Rice community can bring their lunches and hear information on a legal subject and ask questions.
The next brown bag will take place Aug. 28 and focus on rules and good practices under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the federal education records and privacy law. Senior Associate General Counsel Carlos Garcia, Registrar David Tenney and Senior Associate Registrar Ellen Everett will share their expertise on the matter in the presentation set for noon in Farnsworth Pavilion, Ley Student Center.
