A Nano Letters paper co-authored by Rice materials theorist Boris Yakobson has been selected as an American Chemical Society Editor’s Choice, giving the public free access. The research led by Mark Hersam of Northwestern University characterizes the electronic structure of 2D borophene using cryogenic scanning tunneling microscopy, a novel use of the technology for probing the quantum structure of interfacial interactions in the material. Rice alumnus Luqing Wang is a co-author of the paper.
