At Wednesday’s awards ceremony for “Houston’s Best Places to Work,” Rice University was recognized by the Houston Business Journal for ranking seventh on the list of participating companies with 500 or more employees. This is the fourth year in a row Rice has made the journal’s list of Houston’s best places to work. In July the trophy will be circulated among Rice departments so that all employees can share in the celebration. Human Resources encourages staff and faculty to have their pictures taken next to the trophy during meetings or other gatherings and to submit the photos for posting on the HR Web site, where the travel schedule for the trophy will be announced.
