Richard Johnson, director of sustainability, and Rives Taylor, lecturer in the School of Architecture, presented “Looking Long: Striving for Sustainable Texas Campus Certificates” at Gulf Coast Green Symposium and Expo last month at the University of Houston.

Rice’s Richard Tapia, University Professor, the Maxfield-Oshman Professor in Engineering and director of the Center for Excellence and Equity in Education, delivered the commencement address at the University of Texas-Pan American May 15. He will give the winter commencement address and receive an honorary degree from the University of Nevada-Reno Dec. 4.
