Fred Oswald, associate professor of psychology, has been elected a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
Fellow status is an honor bestowed upon SIOP members and international affiliates who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in industrial and organizational psychology through research, practice, teaching, administration and professional service.
“It’s truly an honor to be considered a productive member of my discipline whose work is viewed as useful for practice in organizations,” he said.
Oswald’s research is concerned with testing and personnel selection issues in organizational, education and military settings. He has authored numerous publications and has completed several large-scale grant-funded projects related to these subjects.
Oswald currently serves as associate editor for Journal of Management and Journal of Business and Psychology and serves on the editorial boards for Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Military Psychology, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, Organizational Research Methods, Psychological Methods and Journal of Research in Personality.
