People, Papers and PresentationsDeborah Barrett, professor of the practice of professional communication, has work in three publications. “The Global Visions Case: Determining the Best Practices for Managing Expats and Intercultural Differences in a Multinational Corporation” was published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior Education. Her research proposal “How New Digital Media May Reconfigure Traditional Intercultural Variables” has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Rhetoric, Professional Communication and Globalization. Barrett also authored the chapter “Leading Through Our Words and Behaviors” for the book “Workplace Communication for the 21st Century: Tools and Strategies that Impact the Bottom Line.”

Haldre Rogers, the Huxley Research Instructor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, presented “The Impact of Total Bird Loss on Ecosystem Services in the Forests of Guam” at the British Ornithologists’ Union Annual Conference 2012 at the University of Leicester, England, April 3-4.
