Flying high for the centennial

That silhouetted man up in the “cherry picker” lift is President David Leebron with Houston Chronicle photographer Michael Paulsen. Paulsen saw the lift being used for construction of the Centennial Tent on Founder’s Court and got permission from the construction company to take Leebron about 40 feet in the air in front of Lovett Hall to shoot the photo that appeared on the front of the Star section in Sunday’s Chronicle coverage of Rice’s centennial.
