The Chao Center for Asian Studies this week shipped several hundred back issues of its journal Positions: Asia Critique to two leading libraries in China, the National Library of China and Shanghai Library, in a journal exchange. The exchange was arranged by Fondren Library’s Asian studies curator, Michael Meng, during a trip to China last summer. In publication since 1993, Positions offers a forum of debate for people concerned with the social, intellectual and political events unfolding in East Asia and within Asian diasporas.
