Talking North Korea in the classroom

This week in his Introduction to International Relations class, Rice University political scientist Ric Stoll talked about the current missile attack threats coming from North Korea and what U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel called the country’s “dangerous line” of provoking South Korea and the United States into military conflict.

Stoll, who is the Albert Thomas Professor of Political Science at Rice and a scholar at Rice’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, is available for news media interviews to discuss the ongoing conflict with North Korea.

Stoll’s research focuses on forecasting terrorism and the quantitative study of international conflict with both statistical analysis and computer simulation. He is quoted often by local and national media outlets on issues involving national security and international conflict.
