Students to celebrate ‘Mid-Autumn Festival’ Sept. 20

Rice University’s Graduate Student Association and the Rice Chinese Students and Scholars Club will host their annual fall picnic at Valhalla Sept. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m.

The theme for this year’s picnic is “Mid-Autumn Festival,” modeled after the popular Chinese harvest festival of the same name.

The fall picnic will feature “Mid-Autumn Festival” themed food and activities, including Chinese food, seasonal beers, lantern giveaways and other items that celebrate the culture of holiday.
