Teresa Duryea Wong, a Master of Liberal Studies student in the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies, was named a Bybee Scholar this spring by the La Grange-based Texas Quilt Museum. Wong is completing research on contemporary Japanese quilting for an upcoming book and for her master’s thesis at Rice. The Bybee Scholar distinction stems from the Faith P. and Charles L. Bybee Foundation, which recognizes research and projects involving the arts and educational endeavors.
