Willy pink

A pink handmade scarf adorned Willy’s Statue Oct. 23 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Rice Owls Crocheters and Knitters (ROCK) made the scarf and sold handmade knitted and crocheted pink ribbons to benefit The Rose, a nonprofit breast health organization. The ribbons were made in memory of longtime Rice employee and ROCK member Esther Crawford, who died in January. (Photos by Jeff Fitlow)
