Rice University hosted the fifth annual Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium Oct. 17. The purpose of the event was to provide a forum for undergraduate researchers to present original data they have generated in their respective fields, as well as foster intercollegiate interactions among students and faculty who share a commitment to undergraduate research. Students from 22 different states attended the event.
