MIKOS AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT ON TISSUE ENGINEERING

Antonios G. Mikos, one of the nation’s leading researchers in
the area of tissue engineering, is available to comment on the
announcement today that a University of Massachusetts researcher has
successfully grown a human ear on a mouse. Mikos, in collaboration
with Michael Miller of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston,
is working on ways to grow bone in the correct size and shape for
use in plastic surgery.
