On May 5 at 7 p.m. Snow will read from his translations of Rilke’s “Uncollected Poems.” Snow has translated four volumes of Rilke’s poetry, for which he has won the Harold Morton Landon Translation Award, given by the Academy of American Poets, and the PEN Award for Poetry in Translation. He is also the author of two books about art.

On May 13 at 7 p.m. Apple will read from his memoir “I Love Gootie,” a book about his immigrant grandmother. He previously authored “Roommates,” a book about his grandfather. He also wrote the screenplay for the major motion picture of the same name. Apple is also the author of “Free Agents” and “The Oranging of America.”
