‘10 Commandments of Presidential Leadership’ is topic at Rice’s Baker Institute Aug. 31

HOUSTON – (Aug. 24, 2016) – Lawyer and historian Talmage Boston will discuss insights from his new book, “Cross-Examining History: A Lawyer Gets Answers From the Experts About Our Presidents,” at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy Aug. 31.

For his book, Boston conducted 31 in-depth interviews across the country during the last three years with America’s leading presidential biographers and White House insiders, including James A. Baker III, honorary chair of the Baker Institute and the nation’s 61st secretary of state and 67th secretary of the treasury.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Who: Talmage Boston, a Dallas lawyer, historian and author.

Allen Matusow, the Baker Institute’s director emeritus for academic affairs and the William Gaines Twyman Professor Emeritus of History at Rice, will introduce Boston.

What: A presentation titled “10 Commandments of Presidential Leadership.” A book signing will follow. Copies of “Cross-Examining History” will be available for purchase from the Rice University Campus Store.

When: Wednesday, Aug. 31, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
