Have a great idea but need the money to make it happen? The Envision Grant program could provide the funding to turn that dream into a reality, said Michelle Dass Pickard, assistant director of Leadership Rice, the program that awards the grants.

The deadline is quickly approaching for the first round of Envision Grant proposals. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Oct. 11. Only undergraduate applications will be considered.

The second round of Envision Grant applications will be accepted until Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. Undergraduate and graduate applications will be considered in this round.

The final round of applications will be considered until April 7 at 5 p.m. Only undergraduate proposals will be accepted.

Applications for all rounds should be turned into Leadership Rice, located in 103D Lovett Hall, entrance A. Students also may apply online at http://www.rice.edu/leadership.

Following each deadline, materials will be reviewed by a committee, and applicants will be notified of decisions within three weeks. Applicants may be asked to attend an interview regarding the proposal or to submit additional information before a decision is made, Pickard said.
