Last week, the Rice Surplus Property Sale Greensheet was posted online for the first time. The online Greensheet aims to make bidding easier for everyone involved.

As always, the first week of posting is set aside for department bids. It is imperative that those bidding for a department fill in the “Rice only” information upon check out.

To access the Greensheet page, go to http://dacnet.rice.edu/~gs/ and click on “flyer,” where the list of items up for bidding is located. When looking for a specific item, conduct a search by a keyword.

For more information on any one item, click on the box marked “detail” to go to a page that will list the minimum bid, the contact person, the item’s condition and any other important information.

Bidding is also easy using the shopping cart approach. After shopping and checking out, the site will ask for contact information. This is where bidders must put the department they’re bidding for, along with the fund and organization. Without this information, the bid will be read as an individual bid. Clicking on “save” at the end will send the bids and officially enter them.
