Houston hip-hop leaders past and present to participate in Rice University panel March 5

HOUSTON – (March 4, 2013) – Leaders in Houston’s hip-hop community will gather at Rice University for a special panel discussion Tuesday night.

Who: 5000 Watts, founder and co-CEO of the SwishaHouse record label; G Dash, co-CEO of SwishaHouse; OG Ron C, co-founder of SwishaHouse; Chamillionaire, recording artist, producer and angel investor; Lil’ Keke, recording artist; and Archie Lee, recording artist. Mad Hatta of the 97.9 The Box radio station will serve as moderator.

What: Panel discussion on “SwishaHouse Leaders in Houston Hip Hop: Past and Present.”

When: Tuesday, March 5, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Where: Rice University, Rice Student Center, Grand Hall, 6100 Main St.

Hosted by the Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning (CERCL), part of Rice’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research, the event is free and open to the public.
