No Rice News July 8, other summer schedule changes on campus

Rice News will take a summer break July 8 and return July 15. Other summer schedules on campus include:

· Through Aug. 25, Fondren Library is open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and closed Sunday. The library will close July 4-7 in observation of Independence Day.

· The Gibbs Recreation Center is open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. The competition pool is open 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. The recreation pool is open noon-7p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. The entire Rec Center will close July 4-5 for Independence Day.

· The Rice shuttle is operating with limited summer hours Monday through Friday. The Inner Loop bus runs 6 a.m.-5 p.m. every 8 to 10 minutes. The Greater Loop runs 6 a.m.-5 p.m. every 10 to 15 minutes. The Rice Village Apartments/Greenbriar shuttle runs from 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. every 15 minutes. The BRC Express runs 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. every 10 minutes. The BRC/TMC shuttle runs 7:45 a.m.-5:45 p.m. every 30 minutes. The Rice Village lunch shuttle runs 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. every 15 minutes.

· The graduate shopping shuttle runs 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays every 45 minutes. No night escort or undergraduate shopping is available during the summer.

· Rice Memorial Center is open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and will be closed on weekends through Aug. 17. The RMC will close July 4-5 for Independence Day.
