Continuing Studies courses still open

Space is still available in many spring courses at the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. Rice faculty, staff and students receive 50 percent off the fee of nonlimited enrollment courses, including:

• “The Year’s Best: 2004-2005 Rice University Teaching Award Winners,” lectures from 10 award-winning Rice faculty, Mondays 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 20-May 1 (no class March 13). Rice faculty, staff and student fee: $74.50

• “Animals and Humans: A Scientia Companion Series,” lectures from Rice faculty and outside experts, Wednesdays 6:45-8:15 p.m. March 1-April 5 (no class March 15) and Monday, April 10, 7-9 p.m. Rice faculty, staff and student fee: $59.50

• “The Solar System and the Mind of Man,” instructor: John Freeman, professor emeritus of space physics and astronomy, Wednesdays 7-9 p.m. Feb. 22-April 26 (no class March 15 and April 12). Rice faculty, staff and student fee: $88

• “Achievement and the Human Spirit,” instructor: John Eliot, lecturer of kinesiology, Tuesdays 7-9 p.m.
March 28-May 2. Rice faculty, staff and student fee: $85.50.
