Rice will host a free watch party at Reckling Park for the soccer team’s NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 match against the University of Virginia May 5, Rice Athletics has announced.
The stadium will open at 7 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 8. Parking will be available in Lot 6 (click for map).
Fans will sit in the outfield grass (no lawn chairs will be permitted). Masks are encouraged but are only required inside restrooms. Social distancing will be enforced.
Outside food and drink will be allowed and the charcoal grills on the hill will be available for use, but nuts, seeds and alcohol are prohibited. Free Karbach beer will be available in The Roost but must be consumed in the patio area.
